Ethiopia signs loan agreement amounting to 20 million USD with OPEC: Jigjiga & Dhegehbour Will Benefit

Addis Ababa, July 9 (CakaaraNews) - Ethiopia and OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) signed a loan agreement amounting to 20 million USD.

According to a press release the Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent to CakaaraNews, the agreement was signed in Vienna, Austria on 6 July 2010.   

The fund will be utilized to expand electric power service in Jijjiga and Degehabur towns.    

Counselor and Charge' de Affairs of Ethiopian Embassy in Vienna, Lulit Zewdie,  said on the occasion that Ethiopia has a long history of development cooperation with the OFID.  

Director-General of OFID, Suleiman J. Al-Herbish, signed the agreement on behalf of the OFID.
