Somali State Diaspora Association Elects New Management Staff
Addis Ababa (CakaaraNews) – The Somali Development Association in Sana’a in association with the Ethiopian Embassy in Yemen, has elected new management staff.
According to a press release the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) sent to CakaaraNews on Friday, they were elected at the general congress of the association held recently in the presence of several association’s members and natives of the Somali state.
Ethiopian Ambassador to Yemen, Dr Towfik Abdulahi, on the occasion said that the government has given prime attention to bring lasting peace and rapid development in Somali state.
Ambassador Dr Towfik also called on natives of the state to strengthen their relations with the government of the state and do their part for the economic growth of the region.
Natives of the Somali state residing in Sana'a on their part expressed their delight over the peace deal agreed among the government of Ethiopia, the Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) and the United Western Somali Liberation Front (UWSLF).
The natives also expressed their delight over the peaceful end of the fourth national elections which took place last May.
