Nation commemorates 75th Martyrs’ Day

Addis-ababa(CakaaraNews).Ethiopia marked the 75th Martyrs’ Day on Monday commemorating the killing of about 30 thousand citizens by fascist Italian troops. Addis Ababa City Deputy Mayor, Abate Sitotaw and a representative of the Ethiopian Patriots' Association laid wreath at the ‘Yekatit’ 12 monument in honor of the martyrs. Abate on the occasion noted the present generation should campaign against poverty and pull Ethiopia out of poverty taking martyrs, who sacrificed their lives to safeguard the country’s sovereignty, as a role model. By the same token, patriots that took place in the event urged the youth to do what it costs to transform the country to a better level by bringing about momentum in development and good governance.
